Public Relations - Can We Do That
If you know me, you'll also know that I am a advertising geek. So when I do post about books outside the realm of fiction they will often be about public relations or advertising.
Can We Do That?, written by Peter Shankman, has made it to the book shelf (meaning it's a book I will keep forever - a valuable public relations resource), just not quite to the spots of glory in my nightstand table or desk side.
My copy is a US version Published by John Wiley & Sons, though it was published in Canada. Peter is the founder of Help A Reporter Out (HARO) and known for his outgoing personality and ADHD diagnoses.
I Was lucky enough to buy my copy from his very own hands (thus autographed just for me) at Affiliate Summit 2011. Great reading for the long plane ride back to Vancouver Island.
Every person in PR or Business Development needs to read the section 'What is bad PR'. The rules should be the mantras of every PR rep, and the correspondence samples are a great starting point for PR reps to develop their own correspondence templates.
If you are looking for some easy public relations training - Can We Do that - should be on your reading list.
